Google SELF DRIVING CAR

             Did you know that Google and Toyota made a car that dives it's self? In september Gov. Brown signed a bill stateing that the car can be sold in 2015. Later that day Gov. Brown and ,Google Co-Founder, Sergey Brin were seen carpooling to work in the Google car 
         On the top it has a rotating sensor to use Google Maps, on the windshield it has a video camera to stop the car when traffic stops, and onthe bumpers it has sensors to know if the car is to close to another car.

Movie theater whoopsy

A Cine world movie theater in Nottingham, UK screened Paranormal Activity 4 instead of Madagascar 3.It happened on October 23, 2012 at 3:02. It opens on the most terrifying scene in the first film! Little kids were extremely scared and crying in the movie the theater.The movie theater refunded all the tickets to everyone and apologized. All the kids will remember the horror of the film for the rest of their life. There were about 25 familes in the movie theater. Thankfully the theater welcomed the watchers to watch the actual madagascar 3 a half-hour later.

         For my proposal I will be presenting a fish called Anglerfish. Anglerfish are members of the teleost order Lophiiforms. They are bony fishes named for their characteriestic mode of predation, where in a fleshy growth from the fishes head act as a lure.Some Anglerfish live in the open water while others bottom-dwelling. Some live in the deep sea and others on the continental shelf and the monkfish/goosefish. Pelagic forms are most laterally comepressed where as the benthic forms.

      On March 16 2012  a 15 year old girl named Sierra Lamar got kidnapped.She was going to the bus stop but she didn't even get to the bus stop,the kidnapper was a guy she knew.He worked at Safeway.Sierra just turned 16 years old 4 days ago.Her dad is a registered sex offender,so the cops thought at first it was her dad,but her dad said "i would never ever do that to my daughter."so they moved to the next suspect.
     So many people have been searching for her,including my mom.The cops found the killer but he is denying to kidnapping her,He has kidnapped many girls before.People are not giving up on finding her.Her family really misses her,and they want to find her.Sierra Lamar's killer has a  red jetta  with a black hood.On one of the searches a volunteer found a women body,they believed it was sierra,but it wasn't
. Sierra was a good person she didn't do drugs she always got good grades at school,the cops thought she might of ran away,her parents said she wouldn't do that because shes never tried to run away or drugs or anything shes not supposed to do.
   To prevent getting kidnapped dont do the following things
-Dont take candy from strangers exept on Halloween
-make sure your parents check your candy
-dont get in a car with a stranger
-never go in somebody's house you do not know

    September 11 2001, The Twin towers fell to passenger planes crashing into it. This attack was orchestrated by Al Qaeda to make America bankrupt. After that attack, we are building a new set of twin towers (WTC) to replace the old ones. We predict it is going to finish building in 2016 (that's our guess). We are looking forward to the completion. Bringing back the twin towers will express our freedom.

     Have you ever rode on a roller coaster?  Have you ever wondered where it all started ?  Well now, thanks to this article, you can! The First roller coasters were invented in the 16th century in Russia by sliding on a wooden board down ice hills up to seventy feet tall!  Then jumps and other other obstacles were put in later.  This idea was imported from Russia to France, where the ice melted, so they used waxed boards instead.
Then tracks were added to the idea, when Russians added wood- metal parts to connect to carts.Then in 1830, twists, turns, and many more obstacles. Soon later, many injuries were caused from these obstacles, so a rope latch was attached to prevent people from flying off, and then..... the basic roller coaster was created!  These roller coaster became main tourist attractions in places like New York and California, and soon there were over 2000 amusement parks around the US, that's over 50,000! It's amazing how a simple idea soon became a worldwide phenomenon!

                   If you have been watching the show Avatar: Legend of Korra, then I have a major fact for you. Are you ready? Oh no! I've heard rumor that there isn't a new episode airing this Saturday! Eep. We won''t know what will happen after that small cliff-hanger that Bryan and Mike left us with! Oh it can get annoying having to wait all week to see what happened. If you don't know the the show Legend of Korra, it is basically this show is about this one person in the world called the Avatar. The avatar can "bend" all four elements which are water, earth, fire, and air. So, once the avatar learns all these elements she/he becomes a fully realized avatar. The avatar's duty is to have the world be in peace and harmony. Each avatar goes through many challenges on the way to get the world there though. Even though the show is in its second series, I'm hooked. People like me who are obsessed with the show are known as avatards. Just like bronies or pegasisters. If you have never seen the series either Avatar: The Last Airbender, or Avatar Legend of Korra, then you can catch Legend of Korra on Saturdays at 8 am or at 11 am. If you would like to see the first series Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you can watch every episode on Netflix.

First Person Shooter : The Complete history

       The first person shooter (AKA 3d Shooting) is a game genre, using the first person view (A view of the main character), and multiple targets that you can shoot. Generally, first person shooters are 3d, although some homebrew games are 2d. The genre got popular when ID software released Wolfenstein 3D for DOS, in 1992. The game is cartoony by today's standards, but it was the start of an era. Wolfenstien 3d features you as William "B.J." Blazkowicz, a WW2 soldier in a Nazi Prison camp. The goal of the game is to "Make it out alive or die with a blaze of glory". After Wolfenstien's popularity, ID software released Spear Of Destiny, a sequel to Wolfenstein with an improved engine. Spear of destiny was not as popular as Wolfenstein, but it created the engine that would power Doom (Also known as Doom 3D), created 1993. Unlike Wolfenstein, Doom was not on a level playing field, and the player could go up stairs and ramps. It was estimated that doom was installed on more computers than Windows 95, because it was so popular. Doom was not about Nazis or anything, it was just about just shooting anything that moved. Then, in 1996, Tomb Raider, and Quake were released. Tomb raider's main character was Lara Croft, while quake, like Doom, was mostly about the fun of blowing things up. Quake & Tomb Raider were some of the first First Person Shooters to feature full 3d models, textures, and true 3d, not just looking around on the X axis. In the early FPS, like Wolfenstein and Doom, a picture of the person or player in the corner, this showed the his/her (Most likely his) health. Quake & Tomb Raider minimized this. Quake had many mods, and some people enjoyed modding it, this lead to the creation of Team Fortress. Team Fortress was a mod for Quake, and allowed multiple classes (Engineer, Heavy, Spy, etc.) for people to play online multiplayer with teams. Team fortress classes let different classes have different weapons, for example, Engineers had a wrench that they could build sentry guns with, and the Heavy class had a mini gun. Team Fortress started team games, and added more guns to newer video games. In 1998, half life was released. Half life was about killing zombies. The player gained more weapons as they killed more zombies.
Then, in 1998, Jurassic Park : Trespasser was released. Trespasser introduced a new kind of epic-ness; rag doll physics. In older video games, when a character died, an animation of them falling over would be played. In rag doll physics, the bones of a character would be welded to invisible rigid bodies, the rigid bodies would bounce around, moving the bones, making it appear like the character had fallen limp. Rag doll physics was used in most of the games following Trespasser, including half life 2, Wolfenstein : return to the castle, Call of duty Modern Warfare, and many others. Finally, in 2003, what could be one of the most popular first person games of all time, the Call of Duty franchise started. Unlike it's predecessors, Call of Duty originally had a relatively large storyline, which expanded through each level of the game, however, the newer call of duties have less of a story. Sometimes, it is hard to figure out if a game is a FPS or not, for example, some games, with inventories/backpacks have multiple tools, including weapons, but with a lot of other junk to, like wrenches, and repair tools. Over all, if the game has over 50% guns, it's most likely a first person shooter. Over the years, the weapons have also increased. In call of duty, there are more than 20 guns, while in quake, there was only 8.

It was Sunday, May 20 also the day I saw my first solar eclipse and it was very cool. The eclipse started at about 5:17, and ended around 7:32. My whole family was really excited so we decided to make homemade eclipse viewers. This way we didn't have to look directly into the sun to see it,but then my grandpa had some welding glasses and we tried those and it was to bright. So we took one of the lenses and placed it over the other and it made it easier to see. But from where we were we couldn't see the moon completely cover the sun. You'd have to be in Fresno to see that. But any way when we looked at it at about 6:20 it was like a crescent moon. we also showed it to our neighbors and they thought that it was really cool too. But even though it only lasted about 2 hours it was still fun to watch.

Weird Al

A dude named Alfred Mathew Yankovic (Stage Name: "Weird Al") has been making parodies most his life! He started singing as a career in 1982, when he signed a deal with Scotti Bro's. Al then continued on to be known all over America! Al has released many albums over the years, and is most well known for making fun of rap and pop, however, Al has also released several rock songs, including "Smells Like Nirvana" and "Virus Alert". His most popular song, "Eat it", was a play on the words "Beat it" by Michael Jackson. Many other songs have been released after this. Al gets permission from all the artists he makes fun of, before writing the songs. According to www.weirdal.com, Coolio was mad at Al for mocking the song "Gangster Paradise", with "Amish Paradise", although it is believed today that it was just a misunderstanding between Al's guys, and Coolio's guys. Al also writes his own songs, such as "Virus Alert", and "I'll Sue Ya", although his songs sometimes copy the style of other artists. Here are some of his songs and what they make fun of:

          Sorry for making you guys wait so long, but I was planning a big article this week! I decided to write my article about the Gregory Brothers. The Gregory Brothers are a group of musicians who all work together to auto-tune different videos. In their band they have three guys, and 1 girl. Their names are Michael, Sarah, Evan, and Andrew. Some of their most popular videos include auto-tuning the news and songifying funny clips. We emailed them to ask them a couple questions for our interview and here are their responses.

1.     What made you want to start auto-tuning video clips?

It turns out that the news is really boring, and we had always had trouble staying awake while watching it, because it was impossible to dance to.  We decided to remedy this situation by adding a bass line & a beat.

2.     How old was your group when you first started out?

We all started making music when we were young but we first started playing music together around the time we finished college (though we are all different ages).

3.     What was your favorite un-intentional singer?

Joe Biden, Katie Couric, & Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are all fantastic unintentional singers.  That said, Antoine Dodson is the only unintentional singer to ever enter the BillBoard charts.

4.     What was your first auto-tuned video?

It was the 2008 vice presidential debate, pitting Joe Biden against Sarah Palin.

5.     Are you thinking of making any more videos?

Yes!  We are almost always working on videos.  We're putting out a video in the next week or so with The New York Times, which we're quite excited about, and also working on a new video for our YouTube channel.

6.     What was it like at the Comedy Award?

It was nerve-wracking, fun, and, well, very funny!is perfectly suited to our meme-crazed times, and — most difficult to replicate — is incredibly well made. Their skills are obvious and their ears perceptive, as evidenced by the way in which they mimic pop music tropes to perfection.” – Wired.com

The Transparent House

In Tokyo, Japan there is a house with almost no privacy for the people that live there. It is built completely out of glass. It was designed by award winning Tokyo architect, Sou Fujimoto. It is three stories tall and 914 square feet. He was inspired to design this house by the concept of a tree with perches on high and low branches. This is why the house has perches. This house has 21 floor panels. These panels are heated to make it comfortable in the winter time.  Even though this house is made of glass that doesn't mean that is doesn't have any privacy. There are curtains in this house so that there can be at least some privacy to the people that are living there. Check out the video link below to see the inside of this amazing house.

Space Station Supply Cabinet!

On Saturday,  a rocket carrying cargo was launched to the International Space Station. The rocket, created by SpaceX technologies, will be the first non-goverment project to make it to the International Space Station, if everything goes as planned. It is expected that more private companies such as Virgin Galactic, XCOR, and Space Adventures will soon follow. SpaceX is also trying to get contracts for satellites, from TV and GPS. SpaceX's founder, Elon Musk says that his company will be sending people to mars in less than 20 years. He expects it to be done in atleast 15 years. SpaceX will acomplish this goal without NASA, and hopefully everything will go well. Since NASA has dismissed the space shuttle from duty, they have been relying on the Russian space ships to transport astronaughts. While NASA develops a new space ship, they may switch to smaller space companies for sending up astronaughts, instead of relying on the Russians.
